2809826 Alberta Inc. operates Trivia Night. This policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information in Canada.

Information we collect

Account and billing: name, email, venue details you provide, subscription tier, payment status (payment card data is processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers).

Usage: download logs, host-event state, team names submitted at events, optional player email if a participant opts in, and technical logs needed to secure and operate the service.

Communications: messages you send to support and records of corrections or disputes you file through the host tools.

Why we use it

To provide weekly packs, watermark downloads, billing, and optional live hosting features.

To send service messages (pack availability, corrections, security notices). Marketing email is sent only with express consent under Canada's anti-spam law (CASL).

To improve reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

Player join flow

Teams may join with a display name only. Email collection is optional and off by default where the host enables email capture.

Hosts should not enter sensitive personal information into team names or free-text fields.

Disclosure and hosting

We use service providers (for example Cloudflare for hosting and Stripe for payments) that process data on our instructions. We require appropriate safeguards.

We prefer Canadian or Canadian-region infrastructure where available for primary storage. Some providers may process data in other countries with contractual protections.

We do not sell personal information.

Retention and rights

We retain account and billing records as long as needed for the subscription, tax, and dispute purposes, then delete or anonymize where reasonable.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by emailing the privacy contact. We may need to verify your identity. Some data must be kept for legal obligations.

Quebec and other regions

Trivia Night is not offered for Quebec home editions. If you access the website from Quebec, we still apply this policy to information we collect. Quebec-specific subscription products are not sold through this service.
